Coordinator - Nutrition Services
The Auburn School District is seeking a Coordinator - Nutrition Services to join our team. Applications will be given priority until July 22.
About the role
This position reports to the Director of Child Nutrition Unit and is responsible for overseeing nutrition services within the district. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the provision of healthy meals to students while adhering to nutritional guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement meal programs that meet nutritional standards and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and waste management.
- Manage staff and volunteers to ensure efficient and effective operation of the nutrition services program.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to promote healthy eating habits among students.
- Monitor and report on the nutritional quality of meals served, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation related to nutrition services.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in nutrition services, food service management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of nutrition guidelines, federal and state regulations, and child nutrition programs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing a large-scale food service operation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $113,288-$134,094, depending on qualifications and experience.
