Primary location: Las Vegas, NV – Office of Professional Learning (Central Office).

About the role

This is a full-time, day-shift administrative position supporting the Clark County School District’s Office of Professional Learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to central-office leadership, including calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; screen and direct inquiries, manage correspondence, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute professional documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Coordinate logistics for professional-learning events, workshops, and conferences, including venue booking, materials production, and participant registration.
  • Monitor and reconcile departmental budgets; process purchase requisitions, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Maintain departmental records, files, and databases in compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff; orient employees to office procedures and systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Office of Professional Learning.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in business administration, education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in a K-12 or public-sector environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace; ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work products.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation as a condition of employment.
