Responsibilities
- Work with the project manager to implement and evaluate the SPARK program (tobacco-free college and university program).
- Aid SPARK grantees in moving their campus towards a 100% tobacco-free campus policy.
- Build, maintain, and cultivate relationships with funders, facilitators, and community partners to encourage program delivery, sustainability, and growth across Wisconsin.
- Coordinate all aspects of grant projects activities including trainings, presentations, education-focused health fairs, mini-grants, etc., and serve as lead for these activities.
- Develop and effectively utilize timelines and work plans to ensure completion of program deliverables.
- Complete quarterly reporting of grant activities.
- Research and implement best practices for these programs within priority populations.
- Explore opportunities to connect and enhance collaborations throughout the Lung Association.
- Collaborate with project director in growing American Lung Association programs within assigned territory.
- Provide support for Wisconsin program and development events, such as Oxygen Gala, Climb for Clean Air, and other related activities.
- Participate in local, state, and national seminars and courses designed to increase skills and knowledge related to job requirements.
- Participate on national American Lung Association program workgroups and committees as requested.
- Support the annual report, awards, grants, and other activities as assigned.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in public health or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum two years of experience developing and implementing community awareness, education, and programs specifically related to areas of public health.
- Prior experience in public health, community relations, public policy, and/or advocacy.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transportation with the ability to travel within assigned area 10% of the time for meetings and conferences, as well as the flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends with some overnights required.
- Able to work with minimum direct supervision, make decisions, and take initiative.
- Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships across a diverse population.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Paid Leave - 10 vacation days in the first year (15 days thereafter), 2 personal days and 15 sick days per year, as well as 12 company-paid holidays per year.

Compensation
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The target hiring range for this position is between $43,000 and $47,000 per annum.
