COORDINATOR - HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

About the role

The HIM Coordinator works with management and staff and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and coordination of activities for HIM with variable shift responsibilities. This position requires a flexible work schedule to meet departments needs. Primary patient contact is only social. Demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to organization success targets for net operating margin.
• Models Covenant’s Mission, Vision and Values and commits to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.
• Has social contact with patients, primarily adult, and is able to appropriately assess, care for and treat them according to the guidelines as defined by Covenant HealthCare.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service.
• Promotes positive customer and employee relations by projecting a favorable corporate image through professional, courteous and effective interactions with customers, staff and physicians
