About the role

The Coordinator-Clinical Research 1 facilitates the implementation of clinical trials conducted by Loma Linda University Health. They are responsible for data quality control and toxicity reporting of study patients treated at LLUH for care. They ensure protocol specific requirements are achieved and serve as a resource regarding clinical research and compliance for investigators, nurses, and related clinical staff. They work independently and balance priorities upon receipt of project direction. They may be assigned to either adult or pediatric areas.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of clinical trials
  • Ensure data quality control and toxicity reporting
  • Support investigators, nurses, and clinical staff with clinical research and compliance questions
  • Manage multiple assignments and prioritize workload
  • Work independently and balance priorities upon project direction
  • May be assigned to adult or pediatric areas

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required
  • One year of clinical research or healthcare experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required if performing patient procedures
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), CCRA, or CCRP certification required or to be achieved within 1 year of eligibility and maintained thereafter
  • Active California Nursing license and Medical Assistant certificate preferred
  • IATA certificate required within 90 days, if handling specimen or dry ice, and maintained thereafter
