About the role
The Coordinator, Accounting for Global Media supports accounting operations within the Global Media division, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the end-to-end accounting cycle for Global Media, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for Media Owned and Operated businesses including the Digital content businesses.
- Support monthly close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established deadlines.
- Provide timely close variance explanations to Finance team.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP standards, and internal control requirements.
- Collect and validate financial data to support management reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance and business partners to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure consistent reporting.
- Absorb and provide accurate schedules and supporting documentation for audit requests.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2-3+ years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office. This role may require additional hours as needed (late nights, weekends).
