Coordination Program Manager - IVD , Global Engineering & Security Services (GESS) Design & Construction

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Coordination Program Manager with Construction and Design BIM proficiency to support the execution of BIM requirements and processes across the Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) program.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear understanding of assigned building type technical design standards and templates within the IVD (Integrated Virtual Delivery) portfolio, learning the ins and outs of assigned retrofit or new-build construction types to support coordination activities that project teams execute independently.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for maintaining and developing coordination workflows, orchestrating systems that connect project teams with SMEs who can respond to building and design clarifications.
• Support the execution of the Integrated Virtual Delivery program, which includes the implementation of a set of BIM standards Amazon requires on projects, and ensure alignment with critical stakeholders from partner teams so they can support the program and cascade it through their own organizations.
• Engage with GES Design and Construction, Preconstruction, and Construction Management to administer program requirements from bid phase through construction and turnover for assigned building template type(s).
• Ensure alignment of project stakeholders with all aspects of coordination scope, standards, and processes for up to 6 projects at a time. Connect design, construction, and internal Amazon stakeholders through defined coordination processes.
• Implement the program framework that connects SMEs from critical teams to resolve issues within a project, gathering constraints and requirements across design disciplines, constructability, and engineering to help deliver results.
• Support the team in generating a coordination and approval schedule for each project by receiving schedule information from project teams and integrating it into the broader program timeline.
• Complete onboarding for external design and construction companies to ensure alignment on project coordination execution for those companies and those they contract with.
• Work independently while earning trust and building strong rapport across a broader team — deliver results through good management and strong relationships.
• Operate strategically, efficiently, and frugally in all role responsibilities.
• Accelerate progress by seeking out the best decision and being the responsible decision-maker in critical coordination and site discussions.
• Balance expediency, quality, and resources through prioritization.
• Manage efficient and organized meetings.
• Lead detailed design discussions while ensuring program-level goals are met.

Requirements

• Clear understanding of field constructability, construction means and methods, including project sequencing and scheduling constraints.
• Experience leading and managing a team (external or internal as required).
• Experience in construction or project management, or experience in project management.
• Experience creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans.
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Proven record of leading multi-discipline coordination on new and in-flight design and construction projects, including BIM coordination, Value Engineering (VE), and cost/schedule mitigating measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science.

Skills

• Experience in construction or project management, or experience in project management.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, CA, Santa Monica - 77,400.00 - 135,400.00 USD annually

USA, NY, New York - 89,000.00 - 155,800.00 USD annually

USA, TN, Nashville - 69,700.00 - 122,000.00 USD annually

USA, TX, Irving - 77,400.00 - 135,400.00 USD annually

USA, VA, Arlington - 77,400.00 - 135,400.00 USD annually

Schedule

Up to 60% travel may be required for the role as needed.
