Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and make every interaction memorable
• Prepare, bake, and package our warm cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other treats to Insomnia's quality standards
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders
• Operate the register and process guest transactions
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe throughout every shift
• Jump in wherever your team needs you, whether that's restocking supplies, helping a teammate, or keeping the line moving
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, partnering with your Shift Leader when needed
• Deliver the kind of experience that turns first-time guests into lifelong Insomniacs

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Physical Requirements

• Regularly requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units
• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

• This position works in a fast-paced bakery environment that includes frequent interaction with guests, exposure to heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
• Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business.

Schedule Expectations

• Our bakeries are busiest during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Team Members should have availability during these peak business hours.
• Scheduling needs vary by location.
