Cook (Split Shift)

Pinnacle Point Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook / Dietary Cook to join our dietary team in Riverside, Missouri. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare food service, nursing home dining, senior living, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, or large-scale kitchen operations. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, maintaining food safety standards, supporting therapeutic diets, and ensuring quality meal service for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment. We are conducting on-the-spot interviews for qualified candidates. Cook Job Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirementsCook meals in accordance with Federal, State, and Local food safety regulationsMaintain high standards for food quality, portioning, presentation, and meal timingReview production sheets, resident census, and menus to determine food quantities and preparation needsPrepare regular, modified, and texture-altered diets as directedSafely operate commercial kitchen equipment including:Convection ovensSteamersMixersFood processorsTilt skilletsMeat slicersRanges and grillsMonitor and record food temperatures during preparation and serviceFollow proper sanitation, cleaning, storage, labeling, and handwashing proceduresAssist with food prep including washing, cutting, slicing, portioning, and stockingMaintain clean kitchen workstations, equipment, floors, and storage areasSupport meal service for residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation settingAssist Dietary Manager and kitchen team as neededComplete additional duties assigned by leadership Qualifications Preferred Experience 1+ year of experience in:Long-term careNursing home dietary servicesHealthcare food serviceAssisted livingHospital kitchen operations2+ years of experience as a cook in a high-volume or commercial kitchen preferred Education High school diploma or GED preferred Skills & Requirements Knowledge of food safety and sanitation proceduresAbility to follow standardized recipes and portion controlsExperience preparing therapeutic or modified diets preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environmentReliable attendance and teamwork skills Why Work With Us?
