Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
  • Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives.
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Apply various cooking methods (baking, roasting, broiling, steaming) to meat, vegetables, and other foods.
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.
  • Ensure security of company assets.
  • Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as needed to meet commitments.

Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (e.g., handling, sanitation, storage).
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
  • May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $15.92 to $17.00.
