Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel ingredients
- Safely use utensils, including knives, and operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
- Apply cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and more to meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Store food properly by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation
- Ensure the security of company assets

Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (e.g., handling, sanitation, storage)
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- May require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
