About the role
Powdersville Post Acute is a 60-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Easley, SC. We believe in supporting our staff and fostering a respectful, collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes
- Ensure meals are prepared according to resident dietary restrictions and special diets
- Prepare and serve food in appropriate portions
- Prepare pureed and modified-consistency diets as required
- Record and monitor food temperatures to ensure food safety compliance
- Maintain the kitchen and food preparation areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized manner
- Clean cooking equipment, workstations, and serving carts
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction
- Report resident concerns and dietary issues to nursing leadership and administration
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff
- Follow all facility, state, and federal food safety regulations
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a healthcare, hospital, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions
- ServSafe Certification required or willingness to obtain and maintain certification
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
