ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Ensures that level of quality, portion control and plate presentation is adhered to consistently.
- Prepares a variety of cuisine utilizing skill and creativity while using all local & seasonal products, including produce from our onsite garden.
- Partner with Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine to prepare dishes to pair with estate wines.
- Assists in training, education and development of all kitchen staff.
- Dedicated to developing skillset by collaborating with a diverse team with expertise in cheese/cheesemaking, baking/pastry, fine dining, butchery, and barbeque.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe kitchen; ensures all sanitation procedures are being followed; ensures adherence to all health, environmental and safety regulations, and procedures.
- Skillfully utilizes hand tools or machines required, reads recipes, measures, cuts, and otherwise works on materials with great precision.
- Engages in daily food prep for a variety of culinary events and takes a lead position at culinary events.
- Helps order kitchen and food supplies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Essential Skills, Experience, And Education
- 3+ years of kitchen experience and willingness to be a leader in training
- Knowledge of how to use basic kitchen tools and equipment
- Knife skills
- Able to multitask
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to be flexible with schedule.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The base pay for this role ranges from $19.52 to $27.80 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
