Description
The Cook prepares food properly in large quantities for residents, staff and visitors. Prepares food properly as assigned according to standardized recipes to produce an acceptable product. Evaluates products according to pre-determined standards and/or preferences.
Participates in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) duties as assigned before and during meal preparation to ensure that an acceptable product is served.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities when the director is unavailable.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ food service experience
- Serve Safe Certification is a plus
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Able to effectively interact with all visitors, residents, and staff
