About the role

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager, the Cook prepares and cooks meals according to recipes and nutrition guidelines and coordinates with department workers to prepare and serve food for clients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and nutrition guidelines.
• Coordinate and assist department workers with food preparation and serving.
• Respond in a timely manner to disaster drill activities per established protocol.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (or in the process of obtaining either).
• Ability to learn and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of institutional kitchen practices, production, and sanitation preferred.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay

Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
