Cook - Nights/Weekends

About the role

As a Cook at Raising Cane’s you will set the pace of the restaurant by ensuring all food meets high standards. The kitchen is a fun, fast‑paced environment where you’ll prepare the highest quality chicken finger meals while music plays. Entry‑level and experienced cooks are welcome, and the role can lead to promotional opportunities such as Bird Specialist or Certified Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb; kneel, bend, twist, stoop, ascend/descend stairs, and reach above head or below waistline.
• Clean tables, floors, and other restaurant areas.
• Take orders from customers and process payments efficiently.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and preparing food.
• Multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Show up to scheduled shifts on time and work collaboratively with teammates.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Provide quick and friendly service to all customers.
• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace.
• Align with Raising Cane’s culture of “Working Hard and Having Fun.”
• Take initiative, comply with company policies, and be a team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Starting pay is $12.00 per hour. Within the first year you can earn up to an additional $1.50 per hour through training, certifications, and performance evaluations. An extra $1.00 per hour is added for shifts after 10 p.m., subject to meeting annual hour requirements.

Schedule

All shifts are available, including opening, closing, and intermediate shifts.
