About the role

You’ll work with fresh ingredients and top-tier equipment, experimenting with different cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
- Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives.
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
- Apply cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and more to meat, vegetables, and other foods.
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure security of company assets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role.
- Validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (e.g., handling, sanitation, storage).
- Ability to acquire food safety certification.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $14.50 to $16.00.
