Cook - Intermediate Line

About the role

Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner is seeking a Cook 2 who will work single stations in the kitchen with some supervision and training. The role requires good communication, intermediate culinary skills, and a focus on providing efficient service and meaningful guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items as needed to meet guest satisfaction.
• Replicate food items consistently according to standards.
• Work at least one station in the kitchen; ability to handle multiple stations is preferred.
• Follow all state and local health and food safety regulations.
• Maintain strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Stand for long periods while performing cooking duties.
• Demonstrate a true desire to satisfy the needs of guests.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• 2 years of previous line experience preferred.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to perform all basic cooking skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

Hourly rate: $17.50. This position is also eligible to earn overtime.
