Responsibilities

• Assists the culinary leadership team in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
• Develops knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté, and fry).
• Reads and recreates recipes.
• Ensures consistency in food preparation.
• Minimizes food waste through cross-utilization.
• Works with a world-class culinary team.
• Prepares ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat).
• Maintains a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment.
• Safeguards proper storage of food and other items.
• Ensures the quality of ingredients.

Requirements

• 1-2 years previous experience in a professional kitchen environment or actively seeking culinary education.
• Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and for long periods on your feet.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• At least 21 years of age.
• A desire to exceed expectations and maintain an energetic personality.

Qualifications

• Passionate about the culinary arts.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekends.
