Cook II - BT - Full Time

About the Role

Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, or dinner to standards established by the Chef. Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly. Assists in the training of new Cooks. Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by your supervisor. Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courte manner when dealing with customers or fellow team members. Performs any and all duties as assigned by your Manager or a member of management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum of two years experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
• Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment
• Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operations and recognize spoiled or questionable products
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute recipes
• Must be able to stand for a full shift
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
• Physical ability to: stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; taste or smell; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and moderate noise levels in the work environment.

Initial placement within the salary range is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is one component of a competitive Total Rewards package.
