Job Duties
- Consistently prepares hot or cold food selections to standards established by the Executive Chef.
- Aids in training of new Cooks.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work area.
- Stands for a full shift.
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
- Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by supervisor.
- Performs any and all duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand recipes.
Reasoning Abilities
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently reaches with hands and arms.
- Frequently talks or hears.
- Lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
