Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce hot food items, supporting ordering, portioning, and assembly to ensure timely service
- Handle, store, and maintain food safely and cost-effectively in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures, maintaining equipment cleanliness and proper operation
- Follow recipes and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe, and appealing meals
- Train team members, maintain cleaning logs, manage food inventory, and help reduce waste
Qualifications
- Education: High School Education or Equivalent required
- Experience: At least one year of cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cook’s level within six months in this position required
- Prior to hiring, must have a Food Handler Certification and complete IA/IL Child Abuse and Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training
