Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared and portions served.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
• Inform service staff of unavailable menu items (86’ed items) and available specials.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw and prepare various cuts of meat.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods.
• Prepare sauces, stock, soup, and cold food items.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures using thermostats and thermometers.
• Monitor stock of kitchen supplies.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team goals.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching overhead or below the knees.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years.
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• License or Certification: None required.
