About the role

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I at our North Liberty Medical Campus. This is a part‑time position (50% time).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision.
• Perform general cooking duties using standardized recipes.
• Perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.
• Perform general cooking, food preparation, and serving meals using standardized recipes and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures.
• Check food against predetermined quality prior to service.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

Schedule

• Tuesday & Thursday: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm.
• Rotating Weekends: 7:00 am – 11:00 am.
