Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Help achieve ongoing guest satisfaction and team goals.
• Prep food items ahead of time as requested, ensuring not to prepare more than estimated needs.
• Return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables.
• Aid in correcting food cost problems, controlling food waste, loss, and usage per standards.
• Date and rotate all food containers according to department standards.
• Check par levels for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Receive and unpack items from food vendors, date all items, and pack them according to department standards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Available to work weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
• Minimum of two (2) years restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
