About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team and create exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen environment. This is an opportunity to hone your skills, contribute creative ideas, and grow within a supportive culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and production plans, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Utilize whole food products efficiently, minimizing waste and maximizing flavor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, adhering to all food safety regulations.
- Alert the chef or supervisor promptly about any equipment malfunctions, food overages, or shortages.
- Requisition inventory and receive supplies as needed for daily production.
- Ensure proper storage of food items, including wrapping, dating, and rotating products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Adhere to all safe work practices and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-3 months of related experience in a professional kitchen or equivalent training (we’re also willing to train enthusiastic individuals with a strong passion for food).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Food Safety and Sanitation Training/Certification.
Work Environment
Our kitchen is a fast-paced, energetic environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. You’ll work near hot ovens, moving mechanical parts, and occasionally in cooler or outdoor environments. You will report to the Executive Chef and other department leaders.
