About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The position involves preparing meals for both patients and the cafeteria staff, maintaining cleanliness of equipment, and staying updated on nutritional services and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and facilities
• Stay informed about nutritional services and regulatory requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• One (1) year of cooking experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Culinary Arts degree
• Completion of a state or local food safety training course

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Pay

$15.00 to $18.28 per hour based on years of experience

Schedule

Full-time with benefits, available as Morning or Evening shifts (5:00 am - 1:30 pm, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm)

Sign on Bonus

$1,500 upon successful completion of orientation
