COOK - Full Time & Part Time

About the role

Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles north of Knoxville, in the small, quaint town of Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for residents and staff
• Cook meals via grilling, frying, or baking, adjusting to dietary needs
• Serve three meals per day plus snack for 60–100 people in a residential cafeteria, 365 days a year
• Clean workspaces, utensils, and dishes; sanitize as required
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
