About the role

As a Cook at Raising Cane’s, you will set the pace of the Restaurant by ensuring all of the food we serve meets our high standards. Working in the Kitchen at Raising Cane’s is a fun and fast-paced environment. You’ll prepare the highest quality chicken finger meals for our customers while enjoying a lively atmosphere with music.

Starting in the back of the house can lead to promotional opportunities, including advanced roles like Bird Specialist or Certified Trainer. We are hiring entry-level and experienced Cooks who can thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced food service environment. All shifts are available: opening, closing, and everything in between.

No previous restaurant experience is required—this is an entry-level position, and we provide paid training for every new Cook. Within your first year, you can earn up to an extra $1.50 per hour through training, certifications, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality chicken finger meals while maintaining Raising Cane’s standards
• Lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Kneel, bend, twist, or stoop as needed
• Ascend or descend stairs
• Reach and grasp objects (including above head and below waistline)
• Clean tables, floors, and other areas of the Restaurant
• Take orders from customers and process payments efficiently
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and preparing food
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Show up to scheduled shifts on time
• Work as a team, assisting other Crewmembers to ensure continuity of service
• Work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
• Align with Raising Cane’s culture by balancing Working Hard and Having Fun
• Take initiative and comply with Company policies

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to provide quick and friendly service to all Customers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or food service (e.g., cashier, server, kitchen lead, prep cook, drive-thru) is a plus but not required
