Cook/Dietary Aide

Description Fairway View Neighborhoods seeks a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Cook/Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, serving residents, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting a positive dining experience for seniors residing in our long-term care community. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, takes pride in providing high-quality meals, and understands the important role nutrition plays in resident health and well-being Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements Demonstrates understanding of procedures relating to food handling, dish washing, sanitizing work and eating surfaces Performs dietary activities according to instructions and established procedures and state/federal regulations Has working knowledge of diets, uses proper portions, garnishes and makes appropriate substitutions Ensure food is prepared and served in an attractive, appetizing manner Monitor portion control and food temperatures to maintain quality and safety Clean and sanitize dining rooms, kitchen surfaces, and food service equipment. Stock supplies and assist with kitchen organization.
