ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares and cooks meats, vegetables, soups, etc., for regular and modified diets and cafeteria/catering meal services.
- Serves regular and modified diet trays with a high degree of accuracy at patient meal service times.
- Maintains work area, equipment, and supplies in a clean, sanitized, and organized manner.
- Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
- Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Thorough familiarity with food and methods of preparation.
- The ability to follow standardized recipes.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two or more years training and experience in bulk food preparation is preferred.
- The ability to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Food Handler’s certification is required upon hire.
- De-escalation certification is required within 30 days.
