ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares and cooks meats, vegetables, soups, etc., for regular and modified diets and cafeteria/catering meal services.
• Serves regular and modified diet trays with a high degree of accuracy at patient meal service times.
• Maintains work area, equipment, and supplies in a clean, sanitized, and organized manner.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Thorough familiarity with food and methods of preparation.
• The ability to follow standardized recipes.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Two or more years training and experience in bulk food preparation is preferred.
• The ability to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Food Handler’s certification is required upon hire.
• De-escalation certification is required within 30 days.
