Aramark is hiring Food Service Team Members for the 2026–2027 school year. This role offers a family-friendly schedule with consistent daytime hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and school breaks off. The first day of work is scheduled for the week of August 24, 2026. Interviews will be held at Cherry Hill High School East; a valid driver’s license is required for check-in at the school’s main office.

About the role

As a Cook, you’ll bring recipes to life while flexing your creativity with fresh ingredients and top-tier equipment. You’ll experiment with diverse cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles in a safe environment with production guidelines and safety procedures. This role supports the students of Cherry Hill Public Schools.

Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
  • Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives.
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Apply cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and sautéing to meat, vegetables, and other foods.
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.
  • Ensure security of company assets.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (e.g., handling, sanitation, storage).
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

This role may involve physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $16.75.
