Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious meals according to approved menus and portion quantities.
- Cook multiple food items simultaneously to meet meal schedules.
- Maintain food safety standards as reviewed by supervisors.
- Alter food consistency to meet residents' dietary needs.
- Interpret and follow standard recipes and therapeutic modifications.
Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods is essential. Proficiency in maintaining food safety standards and adhering to meal schedules is also necessary.
Qualifications
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/Management Preferences are not required. However, candidates with these skills are preferred:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation methods and equipment.
- Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation.
- Ability to alter food consistency as needed.
- Ability to interpret and follow standard recipes.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $31,200.00 – $48,810.00 per year.
Schedule
The Cook works from 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., every other weekend off.
