Cook/ Cashier in Plain Dealing

About the role

Location: 598 S Louisiana Street, Plain Dealing, La. The ideal candidate has previous experience with short order scratch cooking, enjoys working in a restaurant environment, takes direction well, and is effective at multi‑tasking. Restaurant industry cooking experience and strong customer service are desired. Understanding the importance of teamwork in a kitchen environment is essential. Cooking/cashiering experience is strongly desired, including the ability to maintain established cook times, availability for all shifts, and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with management and cooks to prepare meals.
• Follow recipes and procedures.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude.
