Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure meals are served on time and at the proper temperature and presentation.
- Follow portion control and safe food-handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory, food storage, and supply rotation.
- Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team to meet resident needs and preferences.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience as a cook in healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures is required.
- The ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions is necessary.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently are essential qualities.
