Responsibilities
- Help prepare and handle resident meals at Our Island Home nursing facility.
- Oversee dietary aides to ensure proper preparation and delivery of all meals.
- Report to the Food Service Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School degree or GED equivalent.
- Completed ServSafe course.
- Knowledge and skill in using common kitchen equipment (utensils, appliances, cleaning devices).
- Ability to perform standardized tasks regularly, often repetitively with frequent interruptions.
- Interest in working with the elderly is essential.
Pay
Starting hourly rate: $27.92 for new hires, up to $35.33 for employees with 18 years of service with the Town of Nantucket.
