Description of responsibilities
- Prepare food items utilizing standardized recipes
- Determine food and supplies needed
- Cook and produce soups and sauces from scratch
- Cook and produce high-quality meals
- Cook and produce therapeutic diets
- Cook and produce full-line menu items
- Cook and produce meals according to the menu cycle and standardized recipes
- Coordinate meal production with service hours
- Monitor food items for temperature, taste, and quality
- Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food items per the menu cycle and standardized recipes
- Oversee proper food storage procedures
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties
- Maintain food safety equipment records and food safety temperature records
- Practice all safety and loss prevention measures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required experience
- A high school diploma/GED
- One (1) year job related experience that includes food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
- Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
