About the role

Strawberry Roan Stable Living is offering a permanent position for a qualified cook.

Schedule

Shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., totaling 30+ hours per week. Days worked vary and include some weekends, with potential for additional hours for a well‑qualified worker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve family‑style breakfast and lunch for 13‑18 residents according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a light supper.
• Set and clear tables.
• Clean and maintain dining and cooking areas in sanitary condition, following health regulations.
• Order inventory and manage supplies.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience cooking from recipes and using basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to remain on feet for the entire shift, including standing, walking, and performing light‑to‑moderate lifting and carrying.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Self‑starter with initiative.
• Personable and friendly demeanor.
• Clean and presentable in dress and appearance.
• Willing to create an enjoyable mealtime atmosphere for residents and coworkers.

Skills

• Food safety certificate is desirable.
