Job Duties

• Performs defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Prepares and serves meals to cycle menu.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas.
• Monitors methods of food handling.
• Cook prepares and serves for assigned meal: ensures appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards.
• Other assigned duties as directed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
• One year food service experience in healthcare dietary setting is desired.
• Patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and other work assignments.
