Job Duties
- Performs defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
- Prepares and serves meals to cycle menu.
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas.
- Monitors methods of food handling.
- Cook prepares and serves for assigned meal: ensures appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards.
- Other assigned duties as directed.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
- One year food service experience in healthcare dietary setting is desired.
- Patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and other work assignments.
