About the role

The Cook at Savant Palm Court of Culver City is responsible for preparing appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, and fresh meals for residents, prospective residents, families, and guests. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience in food preparation, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents, prospective residents, families, and guests
• Ensure compliance with kitchen safety, sanitation, and menu preparation standards
• Work closely with the Director of Dining Services to maintain quality and consistency in meal preparation
• May be required to hold a valid First Aid Certification

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
• At least two years of experience in food preparation
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work well with all people, particularly the elderly

Qualifications

• Experience working in the senior care industry is preferred but not required

• Food preparation and menu planning skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in following recipes and instructions
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$21.00 - $23.50 per hour
