Cook

We are looking for a Cook to join our team at Morningside Elite Management, a leading assisted‑living and memory‑care community in Exton, PA. This role is part‑time/PRN with flexible fill‑in shifts.

Position Summary

Provides high‑quality meals at all times to residents, guests, and staff. Participates in all aspects of food production and may supervise other staff. Reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food in accordance with the daily menu planner, using standardized recipes, in a timely manner.
• Work the food line during mealtime.
• Plate food attractively and ensure condiments and garnishes are prepared and served appropriately.
• Keep work area and serving line equipment clean and adhere to sanitation cleaning schedules.
• Ensure proper food temperature maintenance.
• Maintain clean stock rooms, coolers, and freezers; rotate stock, label, date, and store perishables properly.
• Minimize food waste by using storage and recycling techniques.
• Attend all required training, in‑service, and staff meetings.
• Perform duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Formal culinary training preferred.
