A Day in the Life of a Cook
You prepare meals for our residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
You ensure the quality and temperature of food items.
You take great care to enhance safety and sanitary conditions.
You live up to the trust of those in your care by complying with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations, maintaining knowledge of and following all company policies and procedures.
You have a warm and friendly demeanor to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues.
You take pride in the difference you make in the lives of our residents and that makes you perfect for this cook position!
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements and follow written and oral instructions.
- Cook experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn is needed.
- Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.
- Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required.
