About the role

Peabody Health and Rehab in Peabody, KS is looking to hire a Full Time Cook to join our team. This dietary position earns a competitive salary starting at $15.00 per hour. Full-time candidates are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain quality and temperature standards for all food items.
• Enhance safety and sanitary conditions in the kitchen.
• Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations, and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Cooking experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Solid communication skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required.
