Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure the quality and temperature of food items with close attention to detail.
• Maintain safety and sanitary conditions.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; follow company policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
• Take pride in making a difference in residents’ lives.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Cook experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn needed.
• Solid communication skills, attention to detail, and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform job duties and interact with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Experience in a geriatric nursing facility preferred but not required.
• Trustworthy and respectful of others.
• Dependable, professional, and a team player.
• Enjoy serving and caring for seniors.
• Able to establish good rapport and communicate effectively.
