Salary: $16-$18/hr + $2 shift differential
Shifts: Full-Time, 6am-2pm / 12am-8pm + weekend availability

Cook Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 21.
Experience: Cooking experience preferred.
Licensure: Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Cook Responsibilities
- Comply with the approved menu by the registered dietician; identify alternative meals for therapeutic diets, allergic students, and vegetarians.
- Serve meals that are nutritious, balanced and attractive.
- Must be able to follow recipes at varying levels of difficulty and plan and schedule cooking procedures so that completed foods are ready and held at the correct temperature and time in compliance with the sanitation regulations.
- Able to examine foods for quality and freshness, monitor temperatures and steam pressures in compliance with sanitation regulations.
- The position requires knowledge of food preparation principles, including knowledge of flavoring materials and seasonings in modifying or extending recipes, skill in managing cooking processes so that food items are served on time and that safe temperature and time controls are met, and knowledge of sanitation procedures.

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is a nonprofit residential behavioral health treatment center serving adolescents with serious emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Located in Arizona, we provide structured, trauma-informed, and clinically sophisticated care for youth who require intensive therapeutic support. MMYTC staff routinely treat vulnerable youth who have survived abuse, neglect and exploitation in their communities, which provides a unique opportunity for staff to provide life-saving care.
