Cook

Quail Park of Lynnwood is looking for a Cook/Baker to join our Signature Dining Team. Our team manages the entire dining experience for our seniors, ensuring meals are presented attractively and residents feel welcome. We rely on our cooks to prepare delicious, safe food while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen that meets health standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and procedures to cook and prep all food to Signature Dining Standards, maintaining freshness and appropriate temperatures.
• Ensure proper food storage, including covering, labeling, dating, and placing items in correct storage areas.
• Practice safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment before and after each use.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, including floors, counters, sinks, cabinets, walk-in freezer, and fridge during shifts.
• Complete deep cleaning procedures according to schedule or as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of applicable food service experience.
• Previous experience in hotel/restaurant or senior living preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong commitment to customer service and desire to exceed customer expectations.
• Able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests, staff, and vendors.
• Must meet all health-related and food-handling requirements set by local and state regulatory agencies.
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials.
• Weekend hours required.

Pay

$22.00–$25.00 per hour.
