Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Monitor food stock and place orders when needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting.
- Food safety certification and any other relevant industry certifications (e.g., ServSafe).
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel may be required for this position.
Work Environment
- The Cook position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interaction with staff and customers.
- The role involves prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- The position requires standing for extended periods, walking frequently throughout the restaurant, and working in a noisy, high-traffic environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Parttime NonExempt position. Flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are the peak times for restaurant operations. Mandatory meetings and participating in training.
