About the Team

Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions food for patients, employees, and special functions.
• Performs various baking tasks.
• Cleans and ensures proper use of equipment; reports repairs as needed.
• Coordinates standards of quality food handling with proper sanitation standards.
• Follows food preparation and storage guidelines set forth by the Oklahoma State Health Department.
• For Children's Place and IMH only: Documents meals and snacks served each day in accordance with Federal School Lunch guidelines.
• Reports to the leader as assigned.

This position may involve physical demands such as standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and exposure to heat, cold, and chemicals. There is some risk of cuts, burns, or slips. Frequently exposed to heat from stoves, cold air from walk-in freezers, and cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math skills required.
• 1 year of previous food service experience as a cook or in a Food Prep 1 position preferred.
• For Children's Place and IMH only: Experience with the Federal School Lunch Program preferred.
