About the role
Hudson Hospital is seeking a Cook to join our Nutrition Services team. The ideal candidate is committed to food safety, customer service, and delivering exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established recipes and production standards.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in compliance with sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- P practice proper portion control and presentation standards.
- Adjust recipes as needed to meet production requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- FTE: 0.8; 32 hours per week
- Work Schedule: Shift schedule between 5:30am-7:30pm; Shifts Monday-Friday will vary based on business needs; Required to work every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to safely handle food, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to calculate recipe adjustments accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Demonstrates professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Commitment to providing positive customer service experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of food service cooking experience preferred.
