Responsibilities

• Prepares and dishes quality food accurately and attractively according to diet and menu.
• Fulfills basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, and other foodstuffs for consumption at Hopedale Medical Complex.
• Understands modified diets and collaborates with the team to support patient/resident nutritional well-being.
• Maintains compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies related to food service.
• Aids in the setup, service, and clean-up of food production.
• Maintains proper food temperatures from preparation through service.
• Safeguards that all food supplies are available per the planned menu 24 hours prior to meal service.

Requirements

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Food handler's license preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of food preparation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of required diet and sanitation courses.

Pay

$16 - $18 per hour
