Responsibilities
- Prepares and dishes quality food accurately and attractively according to diet and menu.
- Fulfills basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, and other foodstuffs for consumption at Hopedale Medical Complex.
- Understands modified diets and collaborates with the team to support patient/resident nutritional well-being.
- Maintains compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies related to food service.
- Aids in the setup, service, and clean-up of food production.
- Maintains proper food temperatures from preparation through service.
- Safeguards that all food supplies are available per the planned menu 24 hours prior to meal service.
Requirements
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
- Food handler's license preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of food preparation.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Completion of required diet and sanitation courses.
Pay
$16 - $18 per hour
